It was truly a confluence of a diverse kind of climate tech enthusiasts right from a well experienced technocrat with decades of experience to innovative youngsters bubbling with enthusiasm. Suscrunch brought together an amazing set of ideas, crazy activities and serious business together under one roof at the Bangalore Creative Circus.
I recently participated in SusCrunch 2026, a vibrant gathering of stakeholders in India’s climate ecosystem, on 18th July 2026 at Bangalore Creative Circus, Bengaluru. It was thrilling to watch crazy activities such as SusCrunch Climate Gaming where participants had to complete a set of competitive relay of segregating waste and passing it on! Participants could experience the various aspects of climate change and emerging technologies in experiential chambers.
The most emotionally appealing aspect for me was the ‘Commitment Card’ that participants could choose to give any startup to indicate their commitment to engage in goal-oriented collaborations. This way SusCrunch ensured that vague promises we make at the event are converted into concrete action later, adhering to the motto of giving more than we take!
Climate-tech Startups at the SusCrunch 2026 Big Pi Pitch

As a climate activist, the Big Pi Pitch was the most crucial aspect for me at SusCrunch 2026. This is where a select few climate-tech startups took the stage to present their pitches to venture capitalists and individual investors. Surprisingly, only five climate-tech startups that showcased their innovations at SusCrunch 2026 Big Pi Pitch:
Agropak

Payal Patel from Agropak presented her innovative biodegradable packaging solutions that meet the demanding needs of the cosmetics industry. Made from coconut shells and bamboo fiber, Agropak packaging materials disappear naturally, leaving no harmful impact on the environment, while still offering the same level of luxury and protection as traditional packaging.
Agropak’s jars are produced from bio-composite material by combining coconut shell powder and bamboo fiber with a cosmetic-grade barrier coating. They are composed of 93% bio-based carbon and are certified by TUV SUD and CIPET for all cosmetic packaging applications. No doubt, the jury at SusCrunch 2026 Big Pi Pitch were impressed by Payal Patel’s Agropak innovation and awarded her with a grant of INR3.14 million!

SparkyAI Pvt Ltd aims to transform agriculture in India through cutting-edge satellite intelligence and AI-powered insights. Their platform is a one-stop solution that integrates multiple data points such as crop health, weather conditions, crop rotation, field activities, elevation, soil moisture, etc., all in one place. It provides personalized advisory and market linkage to each individual farmer based on their farm analysis after conducting crop health monitoring, yield prediction, soil analysis and weather insights.
Founded in 2019, SparkyAI has provided its services to around 4500 farmers owning 2000 hectares of land spread over in North Karnataka and Maharashtra. The eye-catching aspect was the platform providing all these data points in five different regional languages that helps rural farmers to easily grasp the information.
Aquaholics

Pollution of water bodies is a rampant problem that needs to be addressed immediately. That is exactly what Prem Pradeep aims to accomplish through his robotic innovation, Aquaholics. The startup designs robots to address sustainability and pollution challenges in both natural water bodies—such as lakes, ponds, and rivers—as well as artificial drainage and sewage systems.
Since cleaning these water bodies is a laborious and hazardous process, Aquaholics leverages modern technologies such as Robotics & IoT Automation to make the cleaning process fully automated and free from human intervention. The climate-tech startup aims to create solutions for a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable environment, by removing rotting vegetation and plastic waste from water bodies.
Planet Zero

Architect Kaushikee Singh from Planet Zero presented her climate-tech startup that builds prefabricated, energy-efficient housing shelters specifically designed for harsh climate and varied geographies. Planet Zero has already built such prefabricated structures for hospitality companies in the Himalayan Regions, using cement-fiber composite materials. These materials have the capability to provide thermal comfort in harsh climates and already been tested to withstand severe conditions.
While these prefabricated structures are pretty affordable, Kaushikee is working on reducing the logistic cost of taking them to remote corners of India. Planet Zero is currently incubated at the Indian School of Business and backed by the Startup India Seed Fund.
370C

Mukkabir Rahman from Assam showcased his idea of a personal cooling system for field workers such as construction workers, delivery boys, mining workers, who are exposed to extreme climatic conditions. His 370C startup has created a wearable personal cooling system that provides thermal comfort to workers working in severe heat. He is still experimenting various phase change material and customised heat sinks.
Mukkabir Rahman’s innovative idea has already been featured on reputed shows such as the Shark Tank and Samsung Solve for Tomorrow. At SusCrunch, the audience was impressed with his idea and he ended up received numerous requests for paid pilot units.
